The HealthSource Foundation was established in 2013 to provide our staff with additional resources to care for the patients we serve. The programs supported by the Foundation reach far beyond the four walls of our health centers to address the underlying causes of health disparities and drastically improve the health and well-being of our patients and communities. We believe the HealthSource Foundation is More than Medicine.
Lacking access to nutritious food is a dire public health concern for many of the patients and communities we serve. HSO’s Hunger as a Health Issue program provides patients with immediate access to tailored recipes and ingredients, offers nutrition education and hands-on cooking demonstrations, delivers seasonally fresh produce to our medical offices, provides farmers market vouchers, and refers patients to community resources that address hunger and other social determinants of health.
Open a book to Open a Door is our way to support early literacy. We believe that by providing a book for all children that walk through our doors, we will increase ways to a brighter future by helping each child begin to grow their own knowledge library.
During the past several years HealthSource of Ohio has received more than $9,000 from Kroger to help meet its mission. Participating in this program does not cost you a thing and helps support our More Than Medicine Programs. Each time you shop at Kroger and swipe your Rewards card or enter your alternate ID, we receive a percentage of the total purchase.
Make sure your Kroger Rewards card is registered at www.kroger.com.

There are various ways to support the HealthSource Foundation. Throughout the year, we host fundraising events that you can support as a Community Partner, Sponsor, participant, or as a volunteer, such as the annual More than Medicine Celebration or the Hustle for HealthSource 5k. Make sure to keep an eye on HealthSource of Ohio’s social media channels to find out when those events are coming up. We also welcome donations of all sizes, with every contribution making a difference to improve the health of our patients and communities as a whole.
