About Michael Bruner, PsyD

I am a person who loves to serve, and the things I enjoy most about this work are consistent with that. I LOVE being part of the primary care team, supporting our medical providers and support staff in the amazing work they do with our patients. I also LOVE working in primary care because it is SO much easier to connect with people who need my help. There are no referrals, no waitlists, and no intakes – if a patient asks for help, I just go in and help them right away!

My primary professional interests are Primary Care, The Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) Model, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT/FACT), Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Functional Contextualism. I also have a strong personal interest in fitness and nutrition and enjoy using my behavioral expertise to help my patients in these areas.

I am really into fitness – lifting, mobility work, karate, etc. – and nutrition. Anything to do with food – growing it, cooking it, eating it, sharing it. I love to read both non-fiction (self-help, leadership/organizational development/management, etc.) and fiction (sci-fi/fantasy; Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author!).
