Our Commitment to Non-Discrimination and Health Equity

Our Guiding Principles

At HealthSource of Ohio (HSO), addressing social determinants of health and health equity is what we have been doing every day for nearly 50 years as a federally qualified health center (FQHC). With locations spread across eight counties in Southwestern Ohio, our patient population varies vastly by location. In our urban areas, patients travel to their appointments via the Metro bus line. In our rural areas, Amish patients travel to their appointments via horse and buggy. At HSO, we offer care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.  We are committed to ensuring access to health care for all in our diverse communities and continuously strive to fulfill our mission of treating every patient with respect, dignity, and equality, irrespective of their race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, economic status, or ability to pay.

In alignment with that mission, we also have a fundamental belief that all people belong and deserve fairness, justice, and inclusivity. Our strength comes from our diversity, and we celebrate the visible and invisible qualities that make each person unique, including race, gender, age, ability, religion, national origin, gender identity, and other identities. We strive to reflect the patients that we serve in our organizational governance, staffing, volunteer opportunities, and external partnerships.

How We Promote a Supportive Culture Focused on Engagement with all Members of our Community and Health Equity
