I am a dual board certified Internal Medicine – Pediatric physician at HealthSource Hillsboro. I grew up in Fairborn, Ohio where I met my wonderful husband. After high school we moved to Washington state where I attended undergraduate college and he participated in the United States Air Force. I then went on to medical school at Ohio University HCOM in Athens, Ohio. After medical school, we moved to Morgantown, West Virginia for my residency at West Virginia University. After residency, I spent two years working in an urban underserved community health center in South Florida. I recently moved back to Ohio where I am excited to start working with the rural community of Hillsboro, Ohio.
As a clinician, my goal is to help improve access to healthcare for underserved populations and to provide health equity to my patients. I work hard to stay up-to-date on medical recommendations and provide the standard of care to underserved patients. I have found that there are many challenges patients face when they come to the doctor, and these challenges can lead to healthcare disparities. I hope to make a difference working at HealthSource to improve healthcare equity and decrease healthcare disparities in rural Ohio. I am delighted to be working with residents who are the future of healthcare. Mentoring and teaching the residents in family medicine is an excellent way to help improve access to healthcare in underserved communities such as Hillsboro, Ohio.
I hope to work with HealthSource in many ways to help patients. I am not just practicing medicine, I am making a difference in the lives of the people, families and friends around me.
