HealthSource and Integrated Services for Behavioral Health Explore Potential Merger

Partnership could expand access to primary care and behavioral health services across Southern and Central Ohio.

CINCINNATI, Ohio — September 2, 2026 — HealthSource of Ohio (HealthSource) and Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) announced that they have signed a non-binding term sheet to explore a possible merger.

If completed, the partnership would create a $220 million-plus organization with about 1,500 employees and expand access to primary care, behavioral health and other support services across Southern and Central Ohio.

Both organizations have a strong history of serving rural and underserved communities. By bringing their strengths together, they hope to make it easier for individuals and families to get the care they need.

“This is an exciting opportunity for two organizations with a shared mission to explore how we can better serve the people and communities of Ohio,” said Dr. Jody Prather, President and CEO of HealthSource of Ohio. “Together, we could make it easier for people and families to get the primary care and behavioral health services they need, especially in rural communities.”

ISBH brings years of experience in behavioral health, care coordination and community-based services. HealthSource provides primary care, dental care, behavioral health, pharmacy and other services through community health centers across Southern Ohio.

ISBH also has an affiliated relationship with Fairfield Community Health Center in Lancaster, which would be part of the potential merger.

The term sheet is non-binding, and no final decision has been made. The organizations will now review the financial, operational, legal, workforce and other details of a possible merger.

Until a final agreement is reached, HealthSource and ISBH will continue to operate independently and focus on serving their patients, clients and communities.
